The study of Islamic education generally places teachers as the main subject of learning, but there has not been much research that reconstructs the structure of educational subjects in a hierarchical manner based on the Qur'an through the integration of classical and contemporary interpretations. In addition, the study of tarbawi interpretation tends to be descriptive and has not elaborated on the theological, epistemological, and pedagogical dimensions systemically. This research aims to analyze the concept of educational subjects in QS. Ar-Rahman [55]: 1–4, QS. An-Nahl [16]: 43–44, and QS. Al-Kahfi [18]: 66–67 with the approach of tafsir tarbawi. The method used is library research with documentation techniques and thematic analysis (maudhu'i), as well as a comparative approach between classical and contemporary interpretation. The results of the study show that the subject of education in the Qur'anic perspective has a hierarchical structure that includes three main dimensions: theological (Allah as the main educator and the source of absolute knowledge), epistemological (the Prophet and ahl al-dzikr as mediators and scientific authorities), and pedagogical (dialogical and ethical relations between educators and students). Classical interpretation emphasizes the legitimacy of revelation and the ontological foundations of science, while contemporary interpretations extend it within the framework of humanistic and educational professionalism. This research contributes to the reconstruction of the paradigm of Qur'anic education subjects as an alternative to modern educational approaches that tend to be reductionist and secularistic.
