-The integration of Islamic values in the educational curriculum in Indonesia is
a strategic effort in shaping the character of students who are not only academically
intelligent, but also have high morals and ethics. This study aims to analyze the
effectiveness of the integration of Islamic values in the educational curriculum, identify
the challenges faced, and provide recommendations for more optimal implementation.
Using a qualitative approach with literature study and case study methods, this study
examines various policies, teaching methods, and perceptions of educators in integrating
Islamic values in formal education. The results of the study show that several schools
have successfully implemented Islamic values through habituation and exemplary
methods of teachers, such as congregational prayer activities, reading the Qur'an before
lessons, and strengthening Islamic-based character education. However, there are several
obstacles in implementation, including the lack of understanding of educators about
Islamic values-based teaching methods, the limitations of teaching materials that integrate
general knowledge with Islamic values, and differences in approaches in its application
in public schools and madrasas. To increase the effectiveness of the integration of Islamic
values in the curriculum, it is necessary to increase the capacity of teachers through
comprehensive training and the development of teaching materials that are able to
combine science and Islamic teachings in a balanced manner. In addition, clearer policy
support and collaboration between educational institutions and the community are
important factors in the success of this integration. Thus, it is hoped that education in
