Prinsip Al-Iqtishad Dalam Konsep Ekonomi Islam Perspektif Al-Qur’an

Abstract

This article examines the concept of al-Iqtishad in Islamic economics as a principle of balance, moderation, and justice in managing wealth and resources. Based on Qur’anic perspectives and the maqashid syariah framework, al-Iqtishad is not limited to thrift or efficiency, but encompasses ethical, spiritual, and social guidelines in Islamic economic practices. The main findings suggest that al-Iqtishad offers relevant solutions to contemporary economic issues such as social inequality, environmental degradation, and capitalist greed. This principle emphasizes the integration of spiritual and material values and the balance between individual rights and collective welfare. In practice, al-Iqtishad can guide public policy, resource management, and the development of socially just and sustainable economies. The authors recommend collaboration among educational institutions, governments, economic actors, and society to internalize and apply al-Iqtishad values as a foundation for a civilized and inclusive economic order. This concept also promotes a responsible lifestyle for modern Muslims, one that aligns moral consciousness with ecological awareness, ultimately aiming for al-al-Falah, or holistic well-being in this life and the hereafter.
